We are always in need of foster homes!
Foster homes allow us to bring Rat Terriers in need into our program and give them a second chance at life. Foster homes provide short-term loving homes for the dogs in our program until they are adopted. Our Ratties are strays, abandoned, or at risk of being euthanized in shelters. Foster homes provide for the safety of the dog, and provide the dog with love, care and compassion. If you have the time and the space in your heart to help out one or two of these darling little bundles of fur, we (and they) would be forever grateful. It truly is a heartwarming and humbling experience to know that you are helping a little friend in need.

If fostering isn't for you there are many other ways you can help the needy rat terriers in our program! The list below is just a few ways that are available to help, there are many more!
Volunteers are needed in all states for the following:
- Returning phone calls
- Conduct Home visits
- Transport Drivers
- Transport Coordinators
- Reference checks
- Visit the shelters to evaluate dogs that may enter our program
- Transportation to vet appointments and/or to meet adoption applicants
- Fundraising
- Adoption Events Team
Our Wish List

- Small to medium blankets ( baby blankets are good) or small to medium dog beds
- Collars, Harnesses, and Leashes
- Dog dishes (stainless steel or ceramic)
- Toys and treats of all types
- Dog coats to help them keep warm on winter walks
- Kennels and/or traveling crates
- Towels
- Bleach
- Paper Towels
- Laundry Detergent
- Dog Food
- Castor and Pollux Natural Ultramix or Dick Van Pattens Natural Balance Foods
- Gift cards good for pet supplies
- Monetary donations to treat medical problems are always greatly appreciated
Wyoming Rat Terriers Rescue PO Box 194 Lusk, WY 82225 You can also help our dogs by donating your empty printer cartridges, used and broken cell phones, MP3 players, video games and systems, laptops, PDAs, Digital Cameras, and even your old GPS! We will gladly take them in and recycle them with Recycle For Pets. For every one we send in they will donate funds to help care for the dogs!
